Laffis appear to those who need them. There are a few ways that this can happen.

1. If a Laffi in Hliehhan generates a desire to help people but feels no specific calling, it will don a manifestation of its own choice and head to the marketplace. There, it will put a pricetag on itself and wait for a human partner who has a similar affinity to its manifestation. Together, they will spread awareness of that Laffi's element throughout the world.

2. If somebody desperately misses anything--from a type of food to a person or pet, a species that died out, or the presence of the ocean, etc.--they may send SG to skysnolimit with a description of the thing they miss in the Comments. There is more reward for sending small amounts of SG over a long period of time than sending one large amount at one time. This is the "Tribute" method, and at some point you will be PM'd and told that your Tribute may cease; your Laffi will arrive shortly. No SG will ever go unrewarded. If, at some point, it seems that the tribute has stopped, you will receive something from Hliehhan--if no Laffi chooses to come, then perhaps an item or another creature will.

3. If two or more Laffis encounter someone who seems ripe for a Laffi friend but is not necessarily aware of it, and may not have paid any tribute, those Laffis will call a friend from Hliehhan to be a companion for that person. That Laffi will have an element, but due to the many variables in the situation the element may be completely nonsensical. This may be analogized to a "breeding" of another species, but it differs in that it requires at least two Laffis. The new Laffi will assume traits of the Laffis who called it, being not necessarily aware of the specific purpose or duty to which it has been called.

4. In very rare scenarios, a person may love their Laffi but love another person more. If a person gifts a Laffi to someone else, the nobility of this act will adorn the Laffi with new traits.
